Sepideh holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with a minor in Agricultural Extension and Education and a master’s degree in Plant Breeding from University of Tehran in Iran. She received a second master’s degree is in Biotechnology from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas. Her second master’s in Biotechnology focused on investigating the effects of compound L19 from Rumex crispus on human colorectal cancer cell line DLD1 to determine the expression of key apoptotic genes. Sepideh is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Molecular Biosciences at Arkansas State University. Her current research focuses on the anti-cancer properties of prenylated stilbenoids produced in peanut hairy roots.
