Mohammad is pursuing M.S degree in Biology and joined the Medina-Bolivar lab in 2015. He received B.S. degree in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology degree from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Bangladesh). During his B.S studies he worked on tissue culture of Citrus species and green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using neem leaf extracts. His M.S. thesis project aims to develop transgenic muscadine grape hairy roots expressing a peanut stilbenoid-specific prenyltransferase gene. The ultimate goal of this project to produce novel bioactive prenylated stilbenoids in muscadine grape.
