Abbas Karouni

Abbas Karouni is native from Lebanon. He completed his B.S. degrees in Biology and Chemistry at Arkansas State University. He is currently working on two research projects. The aim of the first project is to characterize the production of stilbenoids in hairy root cultures of different cultivars of peanut. The second project focuses on metabolic engineering of the prenylated stilbenoids in peanut. In addition to his research interest, Abbas enjoys playing soccer and swimming.
