Carrie Cox is an undergraduate student at Arkansas State University who is pursuing a B.S. in Biotechnology with a pre-professional emphasis. She previously attended Arkansas State University-Newport where she earned her certification in surgical technology and found her passion for medicine. She hopes to attend medical school after she completes her undergraduate studies to become a physician. Her hobbies include traveling, kayaking, and playing guitar. Currently, she is working within the Medina-Bolivar lab specializing in optimizing germination rate, plant growth, and plant tissue cultures for medicinal plant research.
