Amit Raj Sharma, Ph.D.

Amit Raj Sharma is from Kathmandu, Nepal. He received a M.S. in Microbiology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and earned a Ph.D. in Biotechnology Engineering from Toyama Prefectural University, Japan. His Ph.D. focused on fermentation, extraction, isolation and characterization of natural products from marine bacteria collected from stony corals. Amit is interested in exploring unexploited biological sources to discover new bioactive compounds.
